To Whom was Jesus Sacrificed?If Jesus was sacrificed, to whom was he sacrificed? This seems to be a point many Christians overlook. So much so, in fact, that they don't even understand the question when you first ask it of them. Not for whom, or by whom, but to whom? A sacrifice is offered to an angry God to appease him so that he will grant humans what they are seeking. The Christian religion suggests that Yahweh required that his own "son" be killed in order to appease him. Would someone killing your only son appease you? |
